- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- ½ cup store-bought caramel sauce (optional)
- Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla, then add reduced apple cider.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
- For the filling, beat softened butter and powdered sugar together with reduced cider until smooth.
- Once cookies cool, spread caramel filling between two cookies to create whoopie pies.
