- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 Tbsp water (for icing)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add diced apples and brown sugar, cooking until tender (5-7 minutes). Set aside to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, then fold in oats and cooled apples.
- Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
