- 4 Tbsp salted butter plus 1 Tbsp for baking dish

- 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp dark rum
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup quick cooking oats (not instant)
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold salted butter (cubed)
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and brush a baking dish with melted butter.
- In a skillet, melt remaining butter with heavy cream, corn syrup, and brown sugar over medium heat until dissolved. Remove from heat, then stir in dark rum and vanilla extract. Add sliced bananas, coating them well.
- Pour banana mixture into the prepared baking dish.
