  • 200 g apples (grated)
  • 110 g vegetable oil (room temperature)
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 140 g sour cream (14-18% room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g butter (room temperature)
  • 165 g powdered sugar
  • 23 tsp caramel
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the caramel sauce by melting sugar and water until golden brown, then stir in butter, heavy cream, and salt.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and allspice in one bowl.
  4. In another bowl, combine sugars, grated apples, oil, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Prepare frosting by mixing butter until creamy, adding powdered sugar gradually, followed by caramel syrup and vanilla.
