Ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 ½ Tbsp Organic Better than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base
- 4 cups water
- 4 large apples, diced
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 2 cups shredded gouda cheese
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb bacon
- ¼ cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Arrange bacon on the sheet pan, drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with smoked paprika, and bake for about 30 minutes until crispy.
- In a large pot, combine water and chicken bouillon base. Add onions, garlic, potatoes, and apples. Cook over medium heat for 20-30 minutes until tender.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth. Stir in gouda, cheddar, maple syrup, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
