Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the tortellini cooks, clean and slice the mushrooms, chop the sage, and mince the garlic.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and cook until crispy; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté until browned.
- Drain the cooked tortellini and add it to the skillet along with remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Toss until well combined; season with salt and pepper.
