Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients; fold in cherries gently.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the topping. Add diced butter and blend until crumbly.
  6. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full with batter; sprinkle with topping.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
