  • 1 loaf day-old French bread (cut into 1” cubes)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans (chopped)
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Pour over cubed French bread in the prepared dish.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. For the crumble topping, combine chopped pecans with maple syrup and vanilla; set aside. In another bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until crumbly. Mix in pecans.
  5. Sprinkle crumble over soaked bread mixture and bake for 45–55 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
