Ingredients
- 6–8 slices pane di casa bread
- 1/2 cup ripe tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (chopped + extra for garnish)
- 1/2 red onion (finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the pane di casa bread into 6-8 pieces and arrange on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Toast the bread in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
