- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Flaked sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine butter, sugar, salt, water, and vanilla over medium heat. Stir continuously until boiling.
- Use a candy thermometer to cook the mixture until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in half of the nuts. Pour onto the prepared baking sheet.
