Ingredients

  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose leaf tea)
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 tbsp sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags or loose leaf tea. Steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags or strain out leaves. Stir in sugar until dissolved and add vanilla extract if desired.
  4. Slowly pour in milk while stirring. Add heavy cream for extra richness if preferred.
  5. Serve warm in a mug and enjoy! Optionally garnish with cinnamon or lemon.
