  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Mix in the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the wet mixture; fold gently until just combined. Stir in three-quarters of the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
