- 2 cups low-sodium vegetable broth

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until it runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions for about 3 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir continuously for about 2 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Pour in vegetable broth and add dried herbs. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and let simmer for 18-20 minutes until liquid is absorbed. Do not lift the lid during cooking.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for another 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
