Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 34 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 23 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 810 cranks freshly-ground black pepper
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and garlic. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Pour into the skillet with beef and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return broccoli to the pan and toss everything to coat evenly. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
