- 1 lb ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup beef broth
- ¼ cup milk (optional)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat if necessary.
- Layer thinly sliced potatoes over the beef mixture and season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour beef broth evenly over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and optional milk for creaminess. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
