Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 12 oz green beans (trimmed)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)
- 2 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch) for thickening
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine arrowroot powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken pieces in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned; set aside.
- Add remaining olive oil to the skillet. Sauté green beans for about 6 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl. Mix arrowroot powder with water until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet with green beans and pour in the sauce. Add arrowroot mixture to thicken; stir well and bring to a boil before simmering until combined.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
