  • 2 tsp espresso powder
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and dust two round cake pans with cocoa powder.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
