- 4 ounces Irish cheddar (shredded)
- 12 ounces Irish beer (like Killian's Irish Red)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted Irish butter
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it lightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar into the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and beer; stir until mixed.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan, drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle parsley and garlic powder on top.
- Bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center.
