  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon sugar mixture)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar mixture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt; combine well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish; sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
  6. Add remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar for swirling.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; let cool before cutting.
