One-Pan Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sausage Rice is a quick, flavorful meal that brings together smoky sausage, tender rice, and a deliciously sweet-tangy barbecue sauce—all in one pan!

- 1 lb smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear sausage slices until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté onions for about 5 minutes until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Stir in the uncooked rice and toast for 2–3 minutes until lightly golden.
- Pour in chicken broth and barbecue sauce; stir to combine. Return the sausage to the skillet.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
