Ingredients
- 8 oz rice noodles (or lo mein/udon noodles)
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 green onions, sliced (plus extra for garnish)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss thinly sliced beef with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the beef for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining oil and stir-fry red bell pepper and broccoli for about 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook for another minute.
- Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
- Return beef to the skillet with vegetables, add cooked noodles, pour sticky sauce over everything, and toss to combine.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
