  • 1 pound ground beef (93% lean)
  • 16 ounces pasta (ravioli, tortellini, or small pasta)
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper or Chili pepper flakes (more or less to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste and spices; cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, lime juice, and sea salt; stir until smooth.
  4. In another skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add remaining spices; cook until fragrant.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the beef mixture in a large bowl. Drizzle with garlic yogurt sauce and spiced butter sauce before serving.
