Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onion until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook briefly.
- Add ground beef; cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes followed by half of the beef mixture. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Repeat layers.
- Pour beef broth over the top; add milk if desired. Top with cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
