  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag (10 oz) mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup patriotic M&M's (red, white & blue)

Instructions

  2. In a stand mixer or mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in mini chocolate chips and M&M's.
  7. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto prepared sheets.
  8. Bake for 8-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for at least 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
